World peace. Most people want it – too few, in my opinion, are doing anything to create it. Viewed as a goal, world peace seems a daunting and improbable exercise for any individual to undertake. Yet, held as a vision in which you play even a small role while many others play their parts, world peace starts looking possible and even probable. What could you do, what are you willing to do, toward creating world peace?
I had the extraordinary opportunity to participate in a spiritual ceremony where I met a woman from Hawaii who is doing something; not just something, but rather something incredible. Her name is Dawn Ferguson. About 10 years ago Dawn had a vision and along with it she received a song with instructions on manifesting the vision. The vision showed children singing peace around the world. The song ‘Children Singing Peace Around the World’ is a living prayer to heal the earth. The instructions were for Dawn to travel around the world gathering groups of children together; teaching them the song and having them sing it in their native language. Dawn was instructed to teach the song in at least 30 different languages, then host a World Children Singing Peace gathering and celebration on 12/12/12, having all the children, in unison, singing the song in their native language at 12:12pm.
Dawn has dedicated herself to manifesting her vision and has invested countless time and resources along the way. Many times relying on the Universe to bring her the people, money and opportunities to continue her work. It seems an apt project for the Uni-Verse to support ‘global unity through song’.
So far Dawn has been able to ‘seed’ the song in 17 languages; through personal efforts and with help from a few friends and associates. In 2007 The Children Singing Peace Foundation formed supporting her mission and laying a foundation for world harmony and global friendships via music. With less than 18 months remaining before the global gathering, Dawn has much work left to do and welcomes, with gratitude, all help.
